Know Your Farms is working hard to rebuild Charlotte's local food system.  Join us and other dedicated volunteers as we bring food from farm to fork.  

Volunteer opportunities are broad...we can use you whatever your talents or interests may be.  Currently, we are seeking people interested in:

• On-Farm Work Projects
  We organize project crews out to different farms each month to work alongside the farmer.  Projects range from garden maintenance to fence repair.  Due to the nature of the work, these projects are open to adults only.  In special cases, we can make arrangements for groups of younger children to participate in on-farm work projects.
• Distribution
  We pick up food at the farms and deliver to drop locations across the Charlotte area one day each week.  We are always looking for reliable people to man our drop locations or occasionally to assist while we pick up food at the farms.   We are able to provide our distribution volunteers with a free food club membership and some produce (when available).
• Promotion
  We are often asked to attend events where we promote local food and local farms.  We're always looking for enthusiastic people to help us spread the word about local food...and would love to have you join us at these events.
• Events
  We currently host an annual farm tour for which we need assistance in promotions as well as staffing the farms during the event.  This job is for adults only (18 yrs and older).
